Kay Morrison is a gifted speaker who uses humor and honesty combined with sound biblical teaching. Kay speaks to people's hearts in a unique and relevant way.   Her teaching style is engaging, inspiring and always authentic.  Kay uses her real life experiences to bring home the hope and truth of God’s word.

Kay is a native Texan, was raised in Dallas and graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. It was in college that Kay's faith began to grow and following Jesus became her passion instead of a duty.  After graduation, Kay worked for Student Venture, the high school ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ in Chattanooga, TN, where she began using her gift of teaching. Kay married David Morrison in 1986. After their first child was born in 1989, she began serving as MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) Coordinator.  Kay started 2 MOPS groups and taught the MOPS Bible study while living in Houston and The Woodlands, Texas and taught Adult Bible study for 5 years.  After moving to Colorado in 1998, Kay served at Greenwood Community Church as MOPS coordinator, created and taught the MOPS Bible study, taught Summer Women's Bible study, Connections Adult Bible study, and has taught the Wednesday Morning Women's Bible study for the last 6 years. Kay is an Elder and has also served on Sunday mornings as Liturgist and delivered the sermon multiple times. She frequently speaks for events and retreats.

Kay and David have four children, Michael (20), Annie (18), Liza (16) and Max (13) and 2 poodles. In addition to her ministry, Kay is a quilter, loves to knit, paint, read, watches way too much football and NASCAR and avoids cleaning her house.

I have 4 awesome kids, who are not perfect.  None of them make their beds or get straight A's.  One of them yelled at me when really upset, "don't give me any of your Bible talk!".  At my house, I run an "in spite of" ministry.  In spite of me, I have 4 great children.  Mike is 20 and studying at Hillsdale College in Michigan.  Annie, 18, lives in Uganda, Africa and works for Musana Children's Home (http://www.musana.org).  Liza is my newest driver at 16 and is a junior in high school.  Max is 14 and in eighth grade.  They are all extroverts and our house is so loud it will make your ear drums burst.

I am married to David, the most wonderful guy in the world.  He rarely tells me to stop talking.  And he doesn't mind that the house is really messy and full of quilts and poodles.  I would rather hang out with him than anybody in the world.

I love to quilt, knit, paint, and make jewelry, basically anything creative.  I like to cook but not necessarily make dinner.  I love movies and sports, especially football and NASCAR. Most nights, I stay up super late reading so I drink a lot of coffee.  I really like people and I am fascinated by people's stories and how God uniquely works in each person's life.

It is amazing to me that God has chosen to use me to speak His love. I know me.  He certainly has better options!  I am a very imperfect, in process person.  When I speak I am just revealing what He is teaching me. I love teaching about Him because I have discovered that following Jesus and knowing His Word is not drudgery but is actually exciting and FUN!   I love for others to discover this about Him too and to watch Him transform their hearts and lives.
